SAS WSF Intercounty Friendly Meet

Shoreham Angling Squad is pleased to announce that we will be hosting our third WSF Intercounty Forum Meet on Saturday 20th September

I think everyone had a good time last year, so we have picked a similar tide at same time of year and the same venue - Widewater Beach

For newbies to the forums, in this event is first and foremost a friendly get together with the chance to meet other forum members, learn some tips and skills and above all have a fun day with the chance of some fish.

As last year there will be hot food and drink available both before and after the match included in the entry fee. There will be charity paella auction too for the gourmets amongst us. There will also be a raffle and some prizes sponsored by Penn in the usual categories. Any money raised will be donated 50/50 to the RNLI and Chestnut Tree House childrens hospice.

The basics to date are :-

High tide is at 3.20
The tide height is (6.03m)
Food etc 10:30 - 11:30
Walk off 11:40
Fishing will be from 12.00 to 5:00pm

Further details will be posted on this thread in due course but please make a note in your diaries and bring the family!

Look forward to seeing as many of you as possible

Steve

Members frequently ask for the date of the club's next friendly meet on the West Arm and also if there are any midweek meets planned. In answer I can say that ALL our meets are friendly, but in order to enable as many as possible to plan ahead and attend, the whole year to December has been reviewed and the following dates have been picked on merit of tide and time (as normal there is no definite start or end time for each session the time stated being that of the high water followed by the predicted height)

September: Sun 2nd 3.34pm – 6.24m ,
Fri 28th 12:57pm – 6.92m

October: Sun 28th 12:21pm – 6.87m

November: Sun 11th 11:45am – 5.75m,
Sun 25th 11:18am – 6.62m

December: Tue 11th 12:00pm – 5.61m
